I have used GHDs on my hair for as long as I care to remember, probably around 3 years, I’d say. I had to use full heat setting but with my damaged and bleached hair it has destroyed the condition, although it did create great styles. I thought I’d try a different straightener and this C9 Iron fit the bill perfectly. My initial feelings are that it is brilliant, the temperature settings are great and I have used the lower heat settings to give my hair more volume rather then ‘ironing’ it. My hair condition has improved in a few short weeks as well. I may even try and buy the micro iron for my holiday soon!

I thought about ghds vs the cloud nine for a while but in the end after some research and a ‘gut’ feeling I thought I’d go for a cloud 9. My friend who is a hair stylist says they are very good and from my point of view it works on straightening my frizzy hair (which is saying something, I can tell you). I don’t know what the ‘ingredient’ is they put in the black plates but it does add a lovely shine to your hair. Usually I need to straighten like every 2-3 days unlike other straighteners I’ve owned with it being every day! I’ve also noticed the condition of my hair improve as the plates are not as hot as my previous straightener. I really recommend this to anyone. Get one for your loved one for a gift!
